Deep red, lace figure
Redwood burl carries a deep red color and a dense, swirling lace figure that has made it prized by furniture makers for generations. The trees grow on the West Coast, and burl slabs of real size are increasingly hard to come by.
We bring redwood burl in whole and slab it here at the mill. It shows up in our desks, coffee tables, and consoles, often paired with a sculptural root base that matches its character.
