Sculptural roots
A polished root cluster, no two remotely alike. The showpiece option.
Most of what leaves our shop was built for one particular home, one particular room, and one particular family. Here's how yours happens.
The piece, the rough size, the wood you lean toward, and the kind of base you like. A phone call works, or send the form below and we'll call you.
Every slab in the warehouse is one of a kind, so we pick the one that fits your piece and your room best. If it helps you picture it, we can send a photo of the slab we have in mind before the build starts.
Once the slab is settled you get a firm quote for the finished piece. From there, a table takes about three weeks of production: epoxy work, surfacing, sanding, and the finish. Some pieces run longer, some less.
The base sets the personality of the piece as much as the slab does.

Clean black steel we keep in stock. Lets a wild slab do the talking.
Twisted high-desert juniper we harvest ourselves in Arizona.
An upright slab base, often cut from the same tree as the top.
We work in redwood burl, buckeye burl, claro and black walnut, myrtle, maple, ambrosia, and the Arizona juniper we harvest ourselves. If you're not sure, tell us the room and the feel you want and we'll suggest slabs. The wood guide shows what each species looks like.
Epoxy does more than one job here. It can run as a river between two slabs, fill the knots and cracks in a single wild slab, or pour clear so the wood reads straight through. It takes tint in nearly any color, and it can hold things that matter. One customer sent us sand from the creek on their own property, and it sits in their table today.
Your table, your story in it.
Every slab is one of a kind, so the price follows the slab, the size, and the base. You get a firm quote before the build starts, never after.
After your slab is settled and kiln-dried stock is in hand. It depends on the piece, so some run longer and some less. Ask about the calendar when you call and we'll be honest about the queue.
