Golden greens, often spalted
Myrtle grows along the Oregon coast and is one of the few woods with a natural golden-green cast. Spalting, the fine dark lines left by fungus as the wood dries, often draws maps across a myrtle slab.
We use myrtle for dining tables and statement tops where its unusual color can lead the room.
